Adrian Frost is a 21 years old french guitar player, drummer, songwriter, arranger, composer, teacher and singer (rock and lyrical). He was born in Avignon, city if Popes.

He discovered the passion of music at the age of 7 with the violin but he chose classical guitar instead at the age of 10 because of his passion for Spanish music. Of course, during teenage years, everyone gets to hear some rock music and “Americana” by The Offpsring was the album that gave  Adrian the desire to play electric guitar. So he started the “Actual Music Class” in the conservatory of Avignon with Ange Gilles, Flavie Fournier and Laurent Kzewina as teachers.

He founded the progressive band Nobelium in 2009 and he is also the drummer of Sentinhell. Nobelium is his creation and he composed almost everything for the band and singed all the songs. The band recorded three discs with their own skills and Adrian mixed them with the help of Sebastien Choquet and Jean Luc Amiel. These three records taught  him the exigency of the studio even if their work was not perfect.

Now, Adrian has diplomas of conservatory in electric guitar, rock singing and classical guitar. He wants to professionalize himself as a lyrical singer.

About the guitar, Adrian loves metal but he is also really attracted toward every type of traditional and classical music. So he tries to get a personal style of creation and playing that allows everything crazy or surprising in composition. He considers himself more as a composer and a writer than as a guitar player. That’s why he tries to have a good level on several instruments: to have control and knowledge for composition and arrangement. He wants to approach the deepness of classical music with a rock band. Technically, Adrian loves shredding but uses it only to serve the music.

Adrian never won any type of contest because he participated only at two. So he arrived in the second tour of the French Guitar Contest 2 and was 38th in the final rating with his composition “Estampes” (a song with Asiatic influences).

His influences are John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen, Leprous, Rammstein, Jeff Waters, Al di Meola, Paco de Lucia, Yves Jamait, Debussy, Puccini, Berg, Vivaldi, Verdi and a lot more ! But he’s trying not to be too much influenced when he composes and it’s really not an easy way !

Adrian has also a passion for pedagogy and research of every little detail that would help to increase the level of anyone and he’s really happy trying to share now this passion with you on Riff  State !
